A learning experience that teaches students how to refine a search. It more specifically teaches the students about Women's Figure Skating in the 2010 Olympics so the students can follow these athletes during the Olympics. It also gives them a sense of pride for their country.

TUSC is a highly structured activity that allows all students in a class to learn and practise communication skills. At a chosen time in each school cycle, all students gather to talk and listen. Each student has a special role. Over a period of weeks, students rotate through all of the essential roles and participate in many of the optional roles.

9. Snowmen at Night: Kindergarten ELA/Art
After several readings of the children’s book “Snowmen at Night”, students will create artwork depicting the nocturnal activities of snowmen. Once students have created their artwork, each picture will be digitally photographed and uploaded to the computer. Student artwork and snowmen pictures (sourced from Creative Commons), combined with student-generated text and music, will be used to develop a digital storybook inspired by Snowmen at Night.
